In 1993 June 7 to July 30 an experiment in Washington DC amazed everyone!

In 1993 June 7 to July 30 a group of 4000 people participated in a meditated and peace chant research in Washington DC. A project review board constituting 27 members of sociologist, criminologist, government officials and police officers monitored its progress. The measured variable in the research was weekly violent crime report collected by the Uniform Crime Report program of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The result amazed everyone. Analysis of this research revealed that there was a staggering decrease in crimes during the 2 month period. The average decrease in crime rate during the 2 month period was 18%. Astonishingly there was a clear connection between the number of participants and the decrease in crime rate. In the final week of the research which had the maximum number of participants, violent crime rate dropped my staggering 23.9%.
