Quality Compliance and Assurance Specialist

We are looking for a Quality Compliance and Assurance Specialist to join our young and ambitious team. The Quality Compliance and Assurance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that all makeup and cosmetics products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. They are responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance procedures throughout the product development, manufacturing, and distribution processes.

Your daily tasks will entail: 

  • Coordinate regular inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards;
  • Perform visual inspections, measurements, and functional tests to identify any defects or deviations from quality requirements and coordinate testing;
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities;
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) to support continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Identify areas for process optimization and efficiency gains to enhance overall product quality and performance;
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to cosmetics manufacturing and quality assurance;
  • Ensure products comply with all applicable regulatory requirements, including ingredient safety, labeling, and packaging regulations;
  • Evaluate and qualify suppliers and vendors based on their quality management systems, capabilities, and performance history;
  • Establish quality agreements and specifications with suppliers to ensure consistency and reliability of raw materials and components;
  • Manage the sample shipments and the delivery to relevant new product development (NPD) team members;
  • Provide training and guidance to manufacturing personnel on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices.

What we expect from you:

  • Higher education or experience in a relevant field such as chemistry, biology and/or cosmetics;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (Both English and Latvian);
  • Previous experience in quality assurance or quality control roles within the cosmetics industry;
  • Strong understanding of quality management principles, regulatory requirements, and industry standards;
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills for identifying and resolving quality issues;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders;
  • Good project management skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment;
  • Knowledge or experience with data analysis tools and system implementations will be considered an advantage.

  • Monthly salary EUR 1,600-2,900 gross, depending on work experience and skills;
