SIA PEPI RER is a leading manufacturer of construction materials, packaging materials, and IGLU developmental toys. Due to business expansion we are looking for a dedicated Production Technologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for improving the quality of existing products, configuring equipment, and developing new products by selecting raw materials and additives to be used for the production process.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience as a technologist or quality manager in the field of plastic processing, or similar role in a plastic processing company;
• A bachelor's degree in polymer science, mechanical engineering or related field;
• Experience working with polymer materials (preferred);
• Knowledge about the properties, characteristics and processing behaviour of materials;
• Analytical and diagnostic skills;
• Attention to detail, a high sense of responsibility;
• Proactive and being able to identify opportunities for new product applications;
• Strong teamwork and communication skills;
• Excellent Latvian and good English language skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Continuously improve and optimize production processes using the latest technologies and additives;
• Improve the quality of existing products to meet market demands;
• Develop new products by creating unique formulations and implement advanced technological capabilities;
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation;
• Create training materials for employees on topics such as production quality, raw materials, and processes;
• Maintain communication with suppliers and laboratories to address quality issues related to products and raw materials.
