The Deep

Paul Murashov ( born on January 24th in 1983) is a multi talented musician. He is amazing piano player, composer, songwriter, producer, singer, artist, the fastest studio session musician... You name it... His music range goes from soundtrack & musical feel to neo-soul and r’n’b grooves. Since the age of 7, he became a student of music school, where he took viola lessons for few years and then switched to piano. His talent was already shining. But seriously he fell in love with the music when he was 14, since then he never stopped doing this professionally. His music roots goes down to the church - gospel music with the biggest influence like Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond. In the same time he was dynamically developing his skills as a piano player, with continuously listening and playing music of George Duke, Marcus Miller, Herbie Hancock, Michael Petrucciani and many more. In the year of 2001 Paul turned only 18 and he already got an offer to become producer for Latvian artist Gunars Kalninsh (MicRec). This gave him an opportunity to play with great musicians like Martinsh Linde, Kaspars Zemitis, Martinsh Freimanis and hip hop artist Ozols. In the same period of time being a piano player and arranger he shared stage with these amazing Latvian musicians Raymond Macat, J Stever, Denis Pashkevich. In the year of 2000 common project with Denish Pashkevich “JC House” a mix of funk, disco, jazz, soul music, was big in Russian christian community all over post soviet union area. They released two albums “Extra Plate” and “Hard side”, where he was not only musician, but also writer for most songs. Paul was also among 15 best performers at Fizz Zvagzne Contest from Latvia, going to Estonia for filming the contest. In 2004 Paul released first solo album called “Solnce” ( “Sun”) with a smash hit “Zelyonie Glaza” (”Green eyes”), which was in hit list on national radio station SWH+ for a weeks. Paul is working with many musicians, so he has his own project of neo-soul music called The Deep. Band is playing a lot around Latvia and also participating in different music events in Riga like “Rigas Ritmi” in 2004. Beside Riga, The Deep and NG Band with Paul traveled to Germany, USA, Russia, Ukraine, being a part of festivals and celebrations with thousands in attendance. Since the year of 2004 Paul is a full time Musical Director for NG Band, where he had a chance to fully open his creativity as a composer, keyboard player, arranger and performer as well. In 2006 he produced NG Band funky-gospel-soul album “Let Your Kingdom Come”. In the summer of 2006 Paul released his second solo album “Gorod”, with well known pieces like “NWO” and “Riga”. The same year, his hit song “Vesna” was among top 20 songs of the year on the biggest radio in Latvia. His credits contains working with a great composer Alexey Ledyaev in musicals and projects like “ Burning Bush ” , ” Incense Of Love ” , “ Silhouettes ” , “ Benefice “ , Dan Hegelund and NG Gospel Choir for several gospel programs; Sofia Rubina and Intar Busulis in project “ I believe I can fly ” ; Vaidas Vishnyauskas opera singer of Lithuanian National Opera in several projects; Ovidius Vishnyauskas Lithuanian pop star. In January of 2007, Paul took classes at MI, in LA (Hollywood, CA), where his skills were acknowledged by teachers and best musicians right away. Here he had a great experience playing with the best students, participating in 5 band at the same time, using his arrangements and playing skills. Also had a chance to be a studio session keyboard player for several artists. At “MI” he had a chance to met and play with greatest piano player of our time Russel Ferrante (Yellow Jackets), who was amazed by tunes and talent of Paul Murashov. Since then in Riga he had several music projects, containing gospel programs with gospel artist from UK, Junior Robinson and Dan Hegelund, featuring NG Gospel Choir and NG Band. At the present, he is working on his third solo rusian/english songs album. In the process, another project produced by Paul, called "Dream Team Stars", where he has recorded young talented artists, and preparing this album for soon release. Also, Paul is working with Maria by producing her album. In September he will start working on rock-opera “Game Is Over”, written by Alexey Ledyaev.
