Biogrāfija
Since 2005 Anastasija has moved to The Netherlands, Rotterdam where she studies in music conservatorium, CODARTS. Her first two study years where as a Jazz Violin student, coached by the great known saxophonist Simon Rigter. But the other two – 3d and 4th year as a Classical violinist, coached by Mrs Olga Martinova RUS, who is known as great solo violinist since Soviet Union times. Anastasija graduates next year.
Anastasija’s passion consists of many varied styles:
Jazz and World music fusion.
“Noah’s Ark” is one of the ensembles she is part off. It consists of Jazz, Turkish eastern and Pop styles. However in August this year “Noah’s Ark” won a grand prix prize as a most creative and correct in style ensemble of the Rotterdam’s World music competition.
Composition.
Together in corporation with artist “GMB” NL Anastasija is trusted to arrange/compose music for a string quartet together with Hip Hop band. 23th December is “ live show” performance/recording what is going to be released next year.
As another example, September 2008 in “Muziekgebow” was an orchestral tribute for the famous rapper “J Dilla”. Here as well Anastasija participated with her arrangements for string quartet.
Live improvisation, dance music.
Anastasija is known as a professional Live Improvisation Artist together with DJs. She likes to perform with different House, Electronic and Trip Hop styles. Anastasija works internationally. She has made trips to the Middle East as well as performed around Europe and Russia.
Already before she left Latvia, The Netherlands Embassy where welcoming her by inviting Anastasija and her band: “Anastasija’s Sound Factory” to perform for The Dutch Queens day in Riga.
